Description
The canals of Amsterdam are a wonderful sight to see and photograph. In the middle ages, the first canals were planned as four concentric half circles for water management, defense and transportation. The canals were used to transport goods and local floating markets became popular. Amsterdam was an economic and social hub. Amsterdam remains the most water-logged city in the world. The 17th-Century Canal Ring Area of Amsterdam is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
(There is another photographer on the bridge, let me know if you see him.)
