A rainbow appears in the fountain on Varosligeti Lake in Budapest's City Park.
Budapest's City Park has a lot to offer including the beautiful Varosligeti Lake, museums, a thermal spa, a zoo, an amusement park, and a castle. Originally, the park was a meadow for oxen until Hungarian Queen Maria Theresa planted trees to make it into a wooded getaway in the 1700�s. In the early 1800�s it was turned into a public park and is considered the oldest public park. Most of the sights in the park were built for the 1896 Millennial Exhibition. Budapest was proud to host this grand affair of national scope, celebrating 1000 years of Hungarian statehood.
