Artist's Description
Behind the Van Loon Museum is a beautiful garden. In 1973, it was recreated based on a 1679 drawing by Jacob Bosch, a city surveyor for Amsterdam. The garden is completely enclosed, with walls on either side, and has carefully tended hedges, arranged in a circular pattern, divided into six pie-shaped slices and planted with roses and bulbs. An armillary sphere sundial, popular in the 17th century, is the focal point. Along the walls are naturalist plantings, including a large copper beech tree reportedly planted by the Van Loon family in 1884.

About Pamela Newcomb
Welcome to my gallery! I am the proud owner and creator of Pamorama Photography®, a Southern California photography business. I often combine photography with travel and outdoor activities. I seek to capture exceptional images of the world as I see it. I look for color, texture, and light as I photograph nature, architecture, sunsets, sunrises, seascapes, landscapes, events and more. I want my clients to experience my images with the feeling that they are present in the moment. I have created custom art by adjusting the detail, palette, and colors to suit decorating requests. I have had a lot of success with printing on metals and acrylic, and using light boxes. To consult about a custom version of one of my images, please send...
